Description: Fastener and Fitting Seals
Parker`s Fastener Seal designs feature a rubber sealing element located inside a metal retainer (washer) similar to the o-ring-in-a-groove principle. This retainer prevents the rubber seal from being squeezed beyond its elastic limit and destroyed. The metal retainer, furthermore, establishes a positive alternate load path for the bolt torque and simultaneously forms a protective gland for confining the seal element. Since it cannot move outward, the seal element is forced against the shank and other seating surfaces. They are easily assembled without need for special skills or tooling.
