Composite seals include elastomers (rubber, urethane, other polymers) that are molded or bonded to a substrate of metal or plastic. Composite seals include high reliability and proven seals such as Parker Access Door Seals, Dynamic metal seals, Fastener and Fitting Seals, Gask-O-Seals, Integral Seals, Lock-O-Seals, Metal Seals, O-Seals, Pipe Flange Gask-O-Seal, Stat-O-Seals, Thredseal, Wave Guides, ParPhorm, one-piece piston seals, and many over-molded configurations or custom shapes. Composite seals do not require traditional seal grooves. The molded, sealing portions are engineered to have a predetermined squeeze percentage to achieve ideal controlled confinement of the elastomer element.
