Ground Balls are rubber spheres of high dimensional accuracy. They guarantee sealing without leaks, are insensitive to dirt and produce little noise. Rubber ground ball provides an effective and efficient check valves to seal against hydraulic fluid, water or air. The ball’s effectiveness in sealing however is dependent on its roundness. Circularity tolerances normally range from 0.006” - 0.008” (0.15mm – 0.20mm) for molded-only parts.

Parts with diameters of 0.093” – 1.000” (2.36mm – 25.40 mm) can be put through a center less grinder to remove gates and parting lines, reducing the variation to 0.003” – 0.004” (0.08mm - 0.10mm).

Ground Balls come in different compounds (FKM, NBR, EPDM, NBR/PVC, etc) and sizes (3/32, 1/8, 5/32, 3/16, 7/32, ¼, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, ½, 9/16, 5/8, ¾, 1”).
