Type: FKM
Fluorocarbon is an organic compound consisting of carbon and fluorine only; fluorocarbons are analogous to hydrocarbons but with the hydrogen atoms replaced by fluorine.
Usage:Fluorocarbon (FKM) has excellent resistance to high temperatures and a broad range of chemicals. Permeability and compression set are excellent. Fluorocarbons are highly resistant to swelling when exposed to diesel. It is also resistant to degradation due to expose to UV light and ozone. In addition to standard FKM materials, a number of special materials are available with differing monomer compositions and fluorine content (65% to 71%) for improved low temperature, high temperature, or chemical resistance performance. Depending on the degree of fluorination, several grades of FKM are avaliable - (A, B, F, GF, GFLT, GLT, 69% Fluorine)
