Fluorocarbon extrusions and spliced rings for high temperature and harsh environmental sealing
Applications: Semiconductor, chemical processing, transportation, telecommunications and general industrial equipment requiring excellent resistance to high temperature, ozone, oxygen, oils, fuels, organic solvents and chemicals.
Design Requirements: Parker manufactures fluorocarbon materials which are available in standard or custom long length extrusions, precision-cut parts and hollow or solid spliced rings. Fluorocarbon compounds are ideal for applications requiring a high temperature or chemical resistant seal for the prevention of leakage and contamination within a system. Fluorocarbon hollow spliced rings are also ideal for low-closure force environmental sealing in applications that are designed with a minimum number of bolts, fasteners and latches on plastic, aluminum or metal housings in high temperature or harsh environments. Solid spliced fluorocarbon rings have low permeability and low outgassing characteristics. They can be used in both sealing pressure or vacuum applications.

Profiles are available in a broad range of standard or custom shapes that can be shipped on spools, fabricated into hollow or solid spliced rings, or precision cut into static face seals. Fluorocarbon elastomers are capable of operating in temperatures up to 450 F in a variety of harsh environments.
