The market leader in advanced ride control for off-road vehicles needed help narrowing down evaluation choices of alternate seal packs being considered for a major product line refresh.
They took us up on our offer to develop in-house testing to compare performance of the incumbent seal pack vs our proposal.
Darcoid collaborated with our customer’s test lab on a DOE to produce data driven comparisons of different seal designs. We invested and built out our test lab fixturing in a modular way allowing evaluation of multiple seal packs. We developed and interpreted data on whole systems as well as discrete seal components.
Our comparative data provided close correlation to our FEA models giving our customer the confidence to invest in enhanced durability testing.
